Deep Thatch Cottage is set in Rodmell, a lovely downland village, which is just off the South Downs Way and Ouse Valley Way and an ideal location for walkers and cyclists. We offer a baggage transfer service to help those tired muscles.

Virginia and Leonard Woolf lived in the village for many years in Monks House, (www.nationaltrust.org.uk) and about 30 minutes drive away is Charleston, the former home and country meeting place of the Bloomsbury Group (www.charleston.org.uk).

The interesting county town of Lewes is just 3 miles away and the port of Newhaven is 4 miles away, which has the cross channel ferry to Dieppe.
